Performance boaters from across North America roll into town for an exciting weekend which marks one of the most anticipated events of the summer, the 2014 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout which is set to feature some of the worlds fastest pleasure, poker run, and full blown race boats taking to the kilo run to see if they can be the fastest in their respective classes or even take home to covenant Top Gun award putting up the fastest time of the weekend. This awesome event draws well over 100,000 fans in attendance who come out by land and water to join in the fun and watch boats of all sizes and horsepower battle it out, last years event we had the pleasure of naming this event the top event of 2013 and were sure this year will be even better.

As most of you know those in attendance last year witnessed an amazing new course record of a blistering 224 MPH set by Bill Tomlinson in the t-55 turbine powered 50’ Mystic known as “MY WAY”, but with Bill not in attendance this year might be different story as "Spirit of Qatar" the Turbine Class Super Boat International Team have upgraded their Mystic’s power plants from the T-53 setup to the T-55’s which should be capable of producing upwards of a combined 10,000 Hp. The QMSF Turbine Tour crew has confirmed after some quick testing earlier this week that the boat is in fact ready to go as they look to up the previous course record of 224mph.

This weekend will be live streamed via the Official LOTO Ustream and will air both Saturday and Sunday so be sure to tune in if you couldn’t be on hand for this exciting venue via: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/lake-race
