This weekend teams and fans from across North America take over Key West, FL for a week long of racing at the 34th Annual Super Boat International World Championships which officially kicks of Sunday with the Boat Parade and Street Party on Duval Street. Every year this venue gets bigger and better and after recently signing a 5 year deal to keep the Worlds in Key West this year is set to bring in easily 100,000+ Spectators to join in the fun and excitement at the most anticipated race of the year.

A full line up of all your favourite teams from all the classes except the turbine class is scheduled to be on hand. And although we were hoping for a resolution between Spirit of Qatar after being served a ban from Super Boat International due to some political issues regarding their association with another rumoured future race organization the team has confirmed in a recent conversation that the ban continues and non of their boats will be running at the upcoming worlds and their future with SBI will be discussed soon in an internal meeting with the Spirit Of Qatar Team.

After the display from teams at the recent National Championships this week is promised to feature some heated battles especially in the Super Boat Unlimited Class, SuperBoat Class, and SuperBoat Stock Class. Be sure to check out the official schedule at http://superboat.com/2014-key-west-schedule/ and for those of you who can’t make it be sure to tune into the official Ustream coverage which will cover every race this year starting on Wednesday November 5th at 9:45 Est through to Sundays Championships rounds Sunday November 9th.
